We Built This Because We Needed It
When we first started on GLP-1 medications, we did what everyone does — we went looking for answers online.
What we found was a mess. Clickbait headlines. Conflicting information. TikTok videos from people selling supplements. Reddit threads that contradicted each other from one post to the next. Medical journal articles written in language that required a PhD to decode. And everywhere, a strange mix of hype and judgment.
Meanwhile, we were sitting there with a pen in our hand, genuinely nervous about giving ourselves an injection for the first time, wondering if the nausea was normal, and trying to figure out how to eat when food suddenly felt completely different.
We needed one place that just told it straight. No hype. No judgment. Just clear, honest, research-backed information written by people who actually understood what it felt like.
That place didn’t exist. So we built it.
Our Mission
GLP-1 Guide exists to do one thing well: translate complex medical research into practical, plain-language guidance for people starting GLP-1 medications.
We read the clinical trials, the peer-reviewed studies, and the medical guidelines. Then we rewrite that information so that anyone can understand it — no medical degree required. We aim for an 8th-grade reading level, because clear writing isn’t dumbed-down writing. It’s respectful writing.
Whether you’re on Ozempic®, Wegovy®, Mounjaro®, Zepbound®, Rybelsus®, or considering any GLP-1 receptor agonist, our goal is to help you feel informed, prepared, and a little less alone in the process.

What We Believe
📖
Evidence-Based
Every claim we make is backed by cited research. If the science is uncertain, we say so. We never overstate what a study actually found.
💬
Plain Language
We write at an 8th-grade reading level. Not because our readers aren’t smart — but because clear writing shows respect for your time and attention.
🤝
Community-Driven
This site is shaped by the questions real people ask. The topics we cover come directly from the community — the concerns, confusion, and curiosity of real users.
❤️
Helpful First
Every piece of content starts with one question: will this actually help someone? If it won’t, we don’t publish it. Usefulness comes before everything else.
Why We Stay Faceless
You might have noticed that we don’t put names or faces on this site. That’s intentional.
Weight loss is deeply personal, and GLP-1 medications still carry stigma. We’ve seen what happens when people put themselves out there — the judgment, the unsolicited opinions, the “you’re taking the easy way out” comments. We didn’t want this site to be about us. We wanted it to be about you.
What matters isn’t who we are. It’s whether the information is accurate, well-sourced, and helpful. We let our content speak for itself — every claim is cited, every source is linked, and you can verify anything we say.
How We Keep the Lights On
Running a website costs money. We keep GLP-1 Guide free by including affiliate links to products we genuinely believe are helpful — things like food scales, resistance bands, and electrolyte supplements. When you buy something through one of our links, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
We will never let money influence our content. If something isn’t genuinely useful, we won’t recommend it — no matter what it pays. You can read our full Affiliate Disclosure for complete transparency on how this works.
A Note to You
If you’re reading this page, there’s a good chance you’re at the beginning of something big. Maybe you just picked up your first prescription. Maybe you’re still deciding. Maybe you’re a few weeks in and wondering if the side effects ever end. (They do get better — for most people.)
Whatever brought you here, know this: deciding to take care of your health is not the easy way out. It’s just a different path. And it’s yours.
We’re glad you found us. We hope we can help.
